Joyeux Noël et bonne année !

Monique est très attachée aux traditions, dans toutes les conditions, elle tient à ce que je me mette sur mon 31….mais pour l’anecdote, nous n’avions pu faire cette photo que 2 mois après le 31 décembre, car le jour J, ce n’était pas en costume mais en combinaison de survie que je fêtais la fin de l’année, le bateau échoué à la côte pendant une tempête de banquise qui avait bien failli nous forcer à abandonner Yvinec. Nous étions en pleine nuit polaire, 70 jours sans voir un rayon de soleil. Aujourd’hui, nous sommes au chaud sur notre île bretonne et l’année est passée à une vitesse folle, nous n’avons pas eu le temps de faire un dixième de ce que nous voulions faire pour pouvoir repartir au plus vite. 2020 s’annonce un bon cru. Nous vous souhaitons une excellente nouvelle année, merci encore d’être toujours là pour nous et de nous permettre de continuer de rêver.

Merry Christmas and happy new year

Monique is very attached to traditions, in all conditions, she insists that I put myself "on my 31" (French expression)… But this picture was taken 2 months after December 31st, because the D day, it was not in that kind of suit but in a survival suit that I was celebrating the end of the year, the boat stranded at the coast during an ice storm which had almost forced us to abandon Yvinec. We were in the middle of the polar night, 70 days without seeing a ray of sunshine. Today, we are warm on our Breton island and the year has passed so fast, we did not have time to do a tenth of what we wanted to do to be able to leave as soon as possible for new adventures. 2020 promises to be a good year.
